Lloyd Daniels found X Factor themes tough
Wednesday, 2nd December 2009
X Factor reject Lloyd Daniels found it hard to get to grips with the constantly changing themes each week on this year’s show.
The Welsh teenager missed out on a place in the semi-finals after receiving the fewest public votes on Saturday.
And he admits although he was pleased with the songs he was given, he felt the themes from week to week were a bit of a lottery.
“The problem is that the theme weeks get you down really,” he told Digital Spy. “The song choices were great, but the themed weeks were not picked for you.
“’Last Request’ was amazing. I'd love to do a few songs like that. In the style of Paolo Nutini or someone like James Morrison. I actually would have loved to have done a few more ballads.”
The 16 year-old added that his favourite performance of the series was his version of Leona Lewis’ 'Bleeding Love’.
“A lot of people said to me after that performance that it was the most different that I could have been with that song. I loved every second of it."
“It's true that it got the most criticism from the judges, but I thought it was a bit different.
Lloyd also revealed what type of music he’d like to focus on as his career progresses: “If I got to make an album, I'd like it to be a live lounge style album,” he said.
So nice and chilled out like your personality then, Lloyd?
