Jungle-tipped John and Edward keen on TV work
Tuesday, 24th November 2009
Unlikely X Factor success story John and Edward have admitted they're interested in 'doing more TV' amid rumours they've been offered a late slot on I'm A Celebrity.
The Sun reports that ITV bosses approached the twins' X Factor mentor Louis Walsh yesterday with an audacious £100,000 offer for them to join the rest of the jungle campers in Australia.
And Walsh reportedly flew back to Dublin last night to convince the boys' parents that it could be a good move for their blossoming showbiz career.
Appearing on TV is certainly something Jedward are open to.
When asked by Digital Spy if they'd like to break into TV if their music career doesn't take off, the boys admitted TV work had real appeal.
Edward said: "We'd love to do more TV and do more TV shows, but we want to focus on music and doing good songs."
Katie Price
ITV is reportedly desperate to keep viewing figures for I'm a Celeb on the up following the early departure of ratings winner Katie Price.
And even if a jungle adventure doesn't appeal to Jedward, they've already been bantering with Dancing On Ice host Phillip Schofield about appearing on his show in January.
Phillip asked the 18-year-olds on This Morning: "So, can you skate?"
John replied: "We're pretty good at rollerblading," before Phillip added: "Excellent, see you next year!"
It's unlikely this will happen though as the twins will be preparing for the live X Factor tour in early 2010.
