Simon Cowell to probe Danyl Johnson bully rumours
Monday, 26th October 2009.
X Factor supremo Simon Cowell is set to investigate why some of the show's contestants are claiming that Danyl Johnson is a bully.
Cowell was left scratching his head after Danyl received little support in the public vote following his highly praised performance in Saturday night's Big Band show.
The Reading dance teacher was only saved from becoming a week three casualty when it was revealed that London trio Miss Frank had received fewer votes than him.
So Cowell has revealed he wants to find out why his act is so unpopular with the public.
He said on last night's X-tra Factor: "I think I'm going to have to get to the bottom of lots of the stories that are going around, people saying he is bullying them and stuff.
"I don't believe them but I think that they have an effect and we're going to have to clear that up.
"People just don't seem to like him. There have been stories written about him that people are not getting on with him, and he is going to have to put his side of the story across."
All four judges were shocked to see Danyl having to sing for survival as he was the hot favourite to win the show after three strong performances in a row.
However the Daily Mail added that Louis Walsh has previously branded Johnson 'vile' and that fellow contestant Azi Jegbefume from Kandy Rain called him "really two-faced".
Even Scary Spice Mel B labelled him "a little bit too cocky" when she appeared on spin-off show the X-tra Factor last night.
So it looks like Simon has a bit of work to do to get Dan's reputation back on track!
