Cheryl Cole backs Michael Jackson in album battle
Friday, 16th October 2009.
Michael Jackson's new album will go straight to the top of the charts at least ten places ahead of Cheryl Cole's, according to the X Factor judge.
The Geordie singer thinks Jacko's compilation "This Is It" will trounce her debut solo album "3 Words" when they're both released on 26th October.
In fact the Girls Aloud star doubts hers will even make the top ten!
Cheryl told today's Kiss 100 Breakfast Show: “Guess who I'm up against for my album? Michael Jackson. What is wrong with my people?
"I may as well just accept that I may not be in the top 10.”
Mime artist
Cole hit headlines earlier this week when it was reported that she may mime whilst performing new single "Fight For This Love" live on Saturday night's X Factor.
And she later revealed to GMTV that she's banned family and friends from being in the audience.
"It depends which members of my family are in the crowd, she said. "Some of them make me feel like "Yeah I’m ready", and some make me feel "Oh god no – Dad’s in the crowd" so no, no family or friends."
Nerves, alleged miming, and doubts about album performance... not really the best way to launch your solo career is it Cheryl?
