Whitney Houston's X Factor return

American megastar Whitney Houston will show the X Factor wannabes how it's done when she sings on The X Factor this month.
Her performance on the X Factor's October 18th results show will be the 46 year-old's first UK TV appearance in 12 years
The troubled singer and actress - who has sold 134 million albums worldwide in a career spanning three decades - is in the UK promoting her first studio album since 2002.
"I Look To You" topped the US albums chart last month and gets its UK release just a day after Houston's X Factor appearance.
But she's just looking forward to the show: "It should be a fun night," she said.
"I am a fan of Simon Cowell's and look forward to meeting him."
"I have always loved my UK fans and I'm thrilled to perform for them on The X Factor."
Houston is back in the limelight following years of drug abuse and last month gave her first interview in seven years to Oprah Winfrey.
Other music industry giants to appear on the new series of The X Factor are Robbie Williams, Amy Winehouse and Shakira.
