X Factor live finalists revealed
Sunday, 4th October 2009.
The four X Factor judges Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole have chosen the acts they'll be mentoring during the 2009 X Factor finals.
Each judge took six acts through to the "judges houses" stage of the competition to get a closer look at the singer's they think best has a chance of winning the show.
Last year's winning judge Cheryl Cole met her boys at a location in Marrakech, Morocco.
After listening to each of them sing for a final time, and lots of mulling it over with "assistant" Will Young, she and chose Welsh 16 year old Lloyd Daniels, Geordie student Joseph McElderry (18) and Scottish lad Rikki Loney, 21.

As usual, head judge Simon Cowell invited his final six over 25s acts to his plush LA home, where he listened to each of them sing for one last time.
He and former girlfriend, 80s singing sensation Sinitta, discussed which of the six had the best chance of winning public approval, and who had the best shot at a long-lasting music career.
He eventually chose the person he thought gave the best first audition he'd ever seen - 27 year-old teacher Danyl Johnson - along with likeable Olly Murs, 25, and huge-haired Jamie Archer, 33.

Irish judge Louis Walsh surprised his final six groups by not flying them across to Dublin as he had done in years gone by, rather taking them to Lake Como in Italy.
He and Boyzone lead singer Ronan Keating sat and listened to each of the budding popstars sing for a place in the live finals.
The lucky trio were stylish female threesome Miss Frank, ex-strippers Kandy Rain and annoying identical twins John and Edward Grimes.
"Why did you do it to us Louis?", presumably begged the 9 or so million people watching at home.

Dannii Minogue surprised her girls not just by inviting them to a 6* Dubai hotel to perform for their place in the finals, but by bringing out her sister Kylie Minogue to help her make her mind up.
The lucky ones were dippy single mum from Essex Stacey Solomon, 17 year-old belter Rachel Adedeji and sweet Welsh powerhouse Lucie Jones, 18.
Danni reckons she has a winner in her crop too: "I'm confident I have the team to go all the way," she said.
