Laura White - X Factor 2008

17 year-old student Laura White is no stranger to performing in front of a crowd having sung in front of 15,000 shoppers at the switch-on of Bolton's Christmas lights.
But the Bolton girl - who was born in Manchester - has never had a professional lesson so is keen to allow her passion to take over in the X Factor live finals.
It's some passion Laura has too. She has been singing and playing the piano since she could talk and aged just 15, began singing in jazz bars.
A year ago, Laura started writing her own music and singing her own songs so decided to enter The X Factor once people started telling her she had a decent voice.
Laura is studying Creative Writing at university but still lives at home with her parents, brother and sister.
She is grateful to all of them for their continued love and support - her dad never even missed one of her gigs.
Laura's greatest supporter was her uncle but he sadly pa
ssed away a few months ago.
So expect some mind-blowing live performances from Laura in tribute to him!
