Noorul Choudhury finally gets found out
Thursday, 30th April 2009.
Apprentice candidate Noorul Choudhury was given the boot from the show last night after several weeks of unconvincing performances in the tasks.
Firing him, Sir Alan said that the former science teacher from Rochdale had been keeping under the radar.
But he was eventually found out during a task that involved selling bric-a-brac.
Choudhury claimed his Empire team misinterpreted the rules of the sale and thought they had to sell all the items, whether they made a loss or not.
But the rules stated that they had to offload the goods for as close to RRP as possible, so even holding on to them would have made more sense than letting them go for a pittance.
So Noorul's team made a loss of £169 and he was hauled back into the boardroom by team leader Ben and fellow under-performer Debra.
And there was a little bitterness from the 33 year-old as he was given his marching orders, as he insisted he wasn't as quiet as the show portrayed him.
He said: "They make characters out of you, don't they?
"I'm always the life and soul of the party... I'm always talking and chatting."
We believe you Noorul… but doubt that even Roald Dahl could make a character out of you!
