Brendan Cole kills chicken with catapult

Strictly Come Dancing professional Brendan Cole has been filmed stoning a helpless chicken to death with a catapult.
But before you start thinking the BBC could be using shock tactics to wrestle back viewers in the Saturday night ratings war with the X Factor, this was all part of another programme.
The popular foxtrotter was filming the scenes as part of a travel documentary for New Zealand Television on remote Pacific islands. He spent two weeks exploring the islands.
In the clip, the 33 year old is shown cornering the tame rooster and stoning it as it cowers. He then wrings the bird's neck and batters it with a stick.
Cole wasn't just doing it out of the blue though - he was asked by Vanuatu villagers to help prepare a feast, which led to this chicken hunt.
He missed with his first four shots before trapping the terrified bird against a hut wall.
He said: "It feels really awful. I hope I knock it out first go because I’m not into this at all.
"But if you are going to go to somebody’s village I think you have got to embrace everything they do.
“I’m stalking this poor bugger of a rooster but it’s dinner and it’s got to be done. It’s what happens here.
“I’ve never killed an animal with my bare hands.
"Well, I did shoot a bird once but it was kind of by accident as a 14-year-old and I cried like a girl when I did it.”
Cole later ate his feathery victim, declaring: “Sensational. Best chicken I’ve ever had.”
Wonder what dance partner and staunch organic lifestyle follower Jo Wood would say?
