Jedward to retain quiffs in BB house

Jedward haters will be disappointed to learn that the duo are allegedly banned from having their trademark quiffs cut whilst in the CBB house.

There is reported to be a clause in the X Factor rejects' contract which says they can't be involved in any task that require them to cut their hair.

A Big Bro source told Metro: "Jedward cannot afford to lose their hair. It's helped to make them famous."

John and Edward Grimes found fame on the 2009 X Factor and earlier this year they competed in the Eurovision Song Contest.

But it wasn't the Irish singers who confirmed they'd be going into the celeb Big brother house. Rather it was their manager, Louis Walsh.

He said: "It's a great move [for them]. They're getting paid a lot of money for it and everyone loves them."

Tonight sees the return of the hit reality TV programme, in a new home on Channel 5.

Host Brian Dowling has already revealed a first night twist is imminent: "It's something that will affect their time in the house.

"I can't reveal the surprise. Wait and see."
