Jungle reject Lucy Benjamin has no sympathy for Katie Price
Tuesday, 24th November 2009
The first celeb to be voted out of the jungle Lucy Benjamin has spoken about fellow former I'm A Celebrity camper Katie Price.
The ex-EastEnder said she didn't feel sorry for Price in an interview to GMTV, hours after viewers voted her off the show in last place.
When quizzed about how she felt about Jordan enduring six bushtucker trials, Lucy told the early morning ITV show: "I didn't feel sorry for her, because it meant I didn't have to do them!"
But the actress denied that Katie's presence had made it the 'Katie Price show'.
"I'd be shocked if it came across that way because basically it was such a tight-knit camp," said Lucy .
"Katie came in - everybody welcomed her with open arms, and no, I didn't get that feeling at all.
"Katie was just Katie - she is who she is.
"She's big and she's kind of bold and everything, but we all took to her and she's got a softer side and we all liked her very much.
"She was an integral part of our camp."
Lucy also refused to criticise Katie for leaving camp prematurely, adding: "What Katie does is entirely up to her.
"They're all her own reasons for leaving, for coming in - it's not for me to say."
