Alex Reid's mum 'worried for him' after Katie Price rejection

The mother of Katie Price's new ex-boyfriend Alex Reid has spoken of her worry for her son after he was seemingly dumped live on TV.
Millions of live TV viewers saw the 31 year-old model and businesswoman formerly known as Jordan say: "I'm not with him," when quizzed by Ant and Dec about her relationship with the cage fighter upon leaving I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here last night.
Reid was due to visit Price in the jungle - his plane had only just landed in Australia and there were rumours that he was set to propose to her in the coming days.
But his mum Carol Reid, 69 has since spoken about her worry for her son, reportedly telling the Daily Mail that she is concerned for Alex and has not been able to contact him since Price's on-screen admission.
Very cruel
The paper reports her as saying: "I watched the TV last night and it seemed very cruel the way she spoke about Alex.
"He really loved her and gave up a lot for her and this is how he gets treated by her.
"I can't get through to him at the moment and I really want to speak to him.
"All I know is that he is in Australia and his phone is off. He must be upset. I am worried for him."
Price is said to have had serious talks with Alex in her hotel room after leaving the jungle.
She left the competition two weeks early on Sunday morning after enduring six straight 'bushtucker trials' in a row.
