I'm A Celebrity - George Takei
Saturday, 15th November 2008
Best known as Star Trek’s Mr Sulu, George Takei is, at 71, the oldest ever contestant on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
The actor has recently featured on cult US show Heroes, but he's never forgotten his intergalactic roots.
"I am willing to boldly go. I think it is going to be good fun," he jokes.
George reckons his best skill is his ability to get on with people, which is something he'll definitely need if Robert Kilroy-Silk starts ranting and raving.
And although he reckons he hasn’t got a clue what he’s letting himself in for, George thinks he is prepared for most things.
He says: "I am a physically fit person. I work out every day. I used to run marathons!
“I like challenges. I’m Japanese and I love sushi. I’ve even had live fish. It was delicious."
So no problem with the fish eyes in the Bushtucker trials then, George?
