Emmerdale star lands Michael Caine role

Emmerdale actor Joseph Gilgun is to star in a movie alongside Michael Caine, reports the Manchester Evening News newspaper.
Gilgun - who plays tearaway Eli Dingle in the ITV1 soap - has reportedly been given time off to star in a British crime thriller.
A spokesperson for the actor revealed Gilgun is being given assistance from Emmerdale bosses to star in the film, titled Harry Brown.
He said: "Emmerdale has managed to work the storylines around to give him the time off to film on Harry Brown, which Joseph is thrilled about."
The Emmerdale filming schedule has not always been so flexible though, according to reports which suggest the 24-year-old previously turned down a movie role alongside Nicolas Cage.
Gilgun has previously appeared in Shane Meadows film This Is England.
He also had a role in flagship ITV1 soap Coronation Street.
