Natalie Cassidy praying for 'Enders return
Thursday, 21st August 2008
Yo-yo dieting former Albert Square actress Natalie Cassidy is reportedly desperate for her job back.
The 25 year-old left Albert Square in February 2007 and a mountain of problems have left her feeling depressed.
Natalie was tipped to make it on the stage or in a film a after leaving her role as Sonia Jackson early last year but her career failed to take the next step.
That, along with intense media focus on her recent weight gain following a year of looking svelte and toned - not forgetting that fitness DVD - have left Natalie craving for a return to the role which made her a star.
Now Magazine quote a source as saying: "When she left EastEnders, Natalie was telling friends how she admired Kathy Burke and would love to do the sort of films she made.
"But it hasn’t really worked out."
Natalie earned close to half a million pounds from her top-selling fitness DVD Now And Then after dropping three dress sizes - from a size 16 to a 10.
But the money hasn't all come through yet and Natalie has had to slum it, living in a scruffy flat above a shopping parade in North London with actor boyfriend Ben Porter, 40.
She reportedly recently sold 2 properties she owned just to make ends meet and the pressure has led to Natalie piling on the weight she lost.
So she's desperate to get back on the acting ladder - and off the cakes!
