No Street return for Jamie Baldwin
Wednesday, 30th July 2008
Former Corrie star Rupert Hill doesn't want to return top the soap to play heartthrob Jamie Baldwin.
The hunky actor admits he had a great time in Weatherfield but has no plans to reprise his role.
He said: "I'd never say never but I'm hoping that I don't go back.
"I really enjoyed my time on 'Corrie' but feel that I've done my stint there."
Rupert can next be seen playing violent hard man called Kieran Wallace in 'The Bill', and admits he loved the chance to portray a bad boy.
He said: "Wallace is a violent gangster although you do get a few glimpses of his vulnerable side.
"It's great playing a bad boy!"
The actor is keen to follow in the footsteps of fellow 'Coronation Street' actor Matthew Marsden, who recently starred in the Hollywood blockbuster 'Rambo'.
He added to Soaplife magazine: "That wouldn't be a kick in the teeth.
"My only ambition though is to keep acting until my last breath!"
