Marcus Akin finally gets BB boot
Friday, 28th August 2009.
Big Brother's self styled Irrepressible Dark Horse Marcus Akin is the latest housemate to be evicted from the famous house.
And in typical Marcus fashion, upon hearing that he had lost out to Siavash in the public vote, he said: "Thank f*** for that."
The 35-year-old immediately congratulated pal Siavash before saying his goodbyes and leaving the house to a mixture of boos and cheers.
He was that type of character though - you could easily love him or hate his guts.
Grinning, the window fitter walked down the steps towards the evictee's platform and thanked the audience for coming.
In his interview with Davina, he denied being bothered that he was loser: "I've never been defeated," he said.
"I wanted to go three weeks ago, people only kept me in to torture me."
And on his less than cordial attitude towards Big Brother, he said: "You've got to give them a little bit of stick. You can't just sit around and accept everything they tell you all the time."
"But there is nothing I did in the house that was serious. Not one single thing."
And about the whole Noirin/Siavash episode, he admitted: "I was upset with the whole situation when the new housemates came in. That was the first time I really saw how gameplans were affecting things.
"Honestly, I always had my foot in the door so I wouldn't get upset if that thing happened."
Despite being evicted, Marcus wasn't that unpopular a housemate, surviving 8 public votes and only receiving 64% of the public vote against Siavash.
We enjoyed you while you lasted IDH!
