Davina: Big Brother will run forever
Friday, 9th March 2009
Big Brother host Davina McCall has rubbished reports that Channel 4 will ditch the marathon reality show after this summer's tenth series.
Rumours have been rife that the programme's anniversary series will be its last.
Channel 4 bosses allegedly told key staff that it was "highly unlikely" that the show would return in 2010.
Davina, however, believes otherwise. She thinks the programme has the potential to "run and run".
The 41 year-old told the Daily Star: "The show has a timeless quality."
"As long as it’s attracting viewers and making money for Channel 4 I don't see why it should stop.
"Nothing gets the flak Big Brother does, which is ridiculous when you think it's a live entertainment show.
"But people miss the point. It's a really funny and entertaining TV programme."
